10 X Ten: the How and What Of It

10 X TEN: The idea was to play passing-the-parcel with a digital canvas with each person adding to it until ten people later voila! There's a whole new artwork!

So here is how it works between the ten people:

step 1 : Everyone simultaneously begins a 10inch X 10inch artwork. A sketch, a scribble, a doodle, a digital image.

step 2 : the artwork is digitised (if it isnt digital to begin with) and emailed to the next person on the 10 X TEN list.

step 3: the 'emailed' artwork you get becomes your canvas. Without subtracting from it, you can do whatever you want to it.

And so it goes until ten people have contributed to one artwork.

A maximum of 5 days is what you get to work on one artwork before you pass it on.

We are also playing this by ear so suggestions are always welcome. 10 X Ten is a work in progress and the rules of the game keep changing according to the whims and fancies of the group :)

But for now....the games have begun!
